Michele Deckman

Realtor®

As a long-time local, Michele Deckman possesses in-depth knowledge of the greater Annapolis area, Anne Arundel County, and the many regions across Maryland. Michele believes she must listen to learn what is essential to her clients to truly serve them. In her real estate practice, she builds relationships that extend beyond the settlement table.

As a boat captain growing up on the Chesapeake Bay, Michele has a passion for the water and the Bay region and brings that expertise and enthusiasm to her waterfront clients. She understands the complexities of buying and selling on the water and takes the time to educate her clients properly. She will even take interested buyers on a tour of the local waterways aboard her boat.

With a diverse career background, Michele has built a myriad of skills she often uses in her real estate business. Having been a litigation paralegal, she is very comfortable with contracts. Michele guides her clients every step of the way to fully understand what they are signing. Her background in sales taught her that she is a people person who believes in strong communication and being present for her clients.

Michele’s eye for interior design lets her advise clients on smart updates, effectively staging a listing to sell or helping a buyer envision a home’s full potential. She has learned extensively about construction from her husband, a former builder, which comes in handy when navigating the inspection process with both buyers and sellers. Michele is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and will often fill the role of project manager for her sellers’ overseeing contractors, design, and materials to ensure that the work is done properly and timely.

Michele was born on the Main line in Philly and moved to Annapolis at four years old. She attended St. Mary’s school in Historic Downtown Annapolis, playing lacrosse (and later coaching), sailing, and running power boats from a young age. She lives in Annapolis with her husband of 25 years and five beautiful children. When her youngest was diagnosed with Autism at age 4, she quickly learned how to adapt to the challenges life throws at you and do so with grace.

Michele believes in giving back and supports the community with her role on several local foundations. She is the Founder and President of The Strut and Sip for Autism and serves on the boards of The Bowen Foundation for Autism, The Germantown-Homewood Civic Association, and the St. Mary’s Parish Pastoral Council. She donates her time each year to the annual holiday share programs for those in need in the community, and her team makes a donation from each home sale to the local Lighthouse Homeless Shelter.
